Marcelo Vine’s Stage 4 kidney cancer diagnosis came as a shock to the then 49-year old, but Sassan Farjami, M.D., one of the few medical oncologists in the nation with quadruple board certifications, recommended a clinical trial of an advanced immunotherapy that would save Vine’s life. Through the advanced cancer care he received at City of Hope Orange County, Vine says his future has taken flight.

“I’m living life to the fullest as a way of expressing gratitude and because it’s important to make the most of every day. That’s one of the big lessons I’ve learned after having cancer.”
