San Diego State athletics consists of 18 programs, including 12 women's teams and six men's teams. San Diego State has won a league-high 67 Mountain West championships since the start of the 2010-11 campaign, including six during the 2022-23 season. Off the field, 34 Aztec student-athletes earned the Malik Award last year for a perfect 4.0 GPA, while 372 student-athletes earned scholar-athlete designation. ⁠
