I like finishing most metal projects with a high polish, but I think brass is extra nice. It’s also pretty easy to work with because it’s kinda soft compared to some other metals. Although, that means it also scratches easily. 🙄

Apparently these little heat-set insert adapters are a popular thing lately. The one I’m making in this video is for a 1/4-20 insert. I first saw these when I started following teknoelogy . He has perfected a press system for proper alignment during installation. Be sure to check it out!

Brass is a good heat conductor, so once contact is made with the brass insert it only takes about 20 seconds to melt into place.”
