-41° over the weekend here in iowa and it’s still -25° can a deer survive in this? Yes, BUT surviving is not the goal, thriving is. Low stress is an absolute necessity for a buck to grow to his maximum potential, which is exactly why I go  to the extremes like putting straw on my south facing slopes to add extra thermal cover.
