Anger has a dynamism of its own, and it’s directed toward someone whom we feel has wronged us. We always experience anger for something that has happened in the past even though we might still feel the pain of the offense in the present.

Learn more about the nature of anger and responding to offensive behavior in “The Work of Anger in Community: Anger ad Alterum” by Sister Anna Wray, O.P., on the Thomistic Institute Podcast! Link in bio.

Sister Anna Wray, O.P., a native of New Canaan, Connecticut, received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the Catholic University of America in 2002 and subsequently entered the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia. She spent a year in Australia, preparing for World Youth Day. She then returned to Catholic University, and in 2019 completed a doctorate in philosophy. Her dissertation was on "Noetic Thinking in Aristotle's De Anima III.6." Sister previously taught at the high school level and has taught as a First Year Experience fellow at the university and as an adjunct professor at Aquinas College.
