How it started ➡️ How it's going @zozzy7

During her time at Elon, Lauren Brzozowski ’19 was a track athlete. Track was her first love. While chasing her dreams of becoming a professional athlete, she moved to the UK and began running for Loughborough University while simultaneously pursuing a master’s degree in marketing. She planned to compete in races throughout Europe and eventually start a professional track career. But the pandemic had other plans.

Lauren was sent back to the US but she wasn't discouraged, she just needed to pivot. She had been watching the career of Veronia Day '11, another @elonxctf alumna, who transitioned into winter sports and is currently a member of the USA Skeleton team. Veronica helped connect Lauren to coaches which lead to a tryout in Lake Placid, NY. After the tryout, Lauren earned a spot on the USA development team. 🇺🇸

Lauren's advice to current Phoenix athletes?
“Be able to use injury or setbacks or hurdles that you may face in your career as a confession of character. Not only in being an athlete but going after the job you want. There’s a lot more that sports can do for you off the field.”

Lauren's bobsled career is far from over. And we can't wait to see where it will take her. Link in bio to read her full story.
