Celebrating Women's History month by Celebrating the mother of cinema - Alice Ida Antoinette Guy-Blanché.

#aliceguyblanché was a French pioneer filmmaker, active from the 19th century, and one of the first to make a narrative fiction film.

She was the #firstwoman to #direct a film. From #1896 to #1906 was probably the only #femalefilmmaker in the world. 

We celebrate this #superwoman who historians have denied the pages she deserves. With over #1000 films under her eye, she truly is one of the pioneers of #cinema.
