A tough one out there today. Mentally just wasn’t in the race. Every time I considered a DNF, I heard another amazing supporter shout my name and it really did keep me going. My biggest strength has always been my head, 3 weeks to find that mental resilience again. I gave up far too easily today and jogged it in, but was totally incredible to race with the elites. Part of me thinks I let myself down, the other parts know it was still a good marathon pace training and a mental battle that I’ll know how to overcome in Berlin 🫡
