#THROWBACK to the weekend that changed my lacrosse career 

This weekend in 2017 changed my lacrosse career. I was a kid who wasn’t known that went to an average public school. The thefaceoffacademy has the FOA National showcase event for faceoff guys from all over the country every year. Sixty-plus guys were in my bracket. I was able to get into the event at the last second. Going into the event, I really didn’t know what to expect. Maybe I’ll win one match or two. I took one match at a time, and the next thing I knew, I was in the championship. I ended up winning my age group’s championship. Going from someone who was unknown to winning the championship where the best kids in the country were was pretty special.
