Senior Shoutout #5 : Aaron Gorman!

If you were to come down to the infamous TBC boathouse, you will catch Aaron Gorman either rowing with the JR crew or working as an employee of the boathouse (I’ve started to suspect that they are one of the few Jackson Reed rowers who have began to live there…). Aaron brings a sense of maturity to the team that is unmatched. You will never catch them in anything less than a good mood and are always ready to take feedback and learn. This maturity and their passion for learning also got them accepted into Cornell University where they will go and torment Ale Topa for another 3 years #gobigred #ivybound #cornellpipeline #next4.

Aaron has been on the team all four years of their highschool career and although their freshman year was cut short by Covid, they have left a serious mark on the varsity squad. During their sophomore year, Aaron won the WMIRA Novice 4+ which they claim to be their greatest achievement in life. Aaron was also a part of the greatest 2v ever produced out of the program, helping qualify the boat for youth nats at Mid-Atlantics, grand finaling at SRAA, The Stotesbury Cup regatta, and WMIRA.

As their senior season comes to an end, we can only feel a sense of sadness to be seeing them go. We hope that losing their playful teasing of Regine, god tier rigor stacking/wrapping skills, boat leadership, and serious #tigerpride💚 won’t leave a gap in our team. But nevertheless, our squad won’t be the same without them.
