California native Amisha Kambath is a social studies concentrator and has served as president of the Harvard College Project for Justice and as co-chair of the policy program at the Institute of Politics.

“It still really hasn’t settled in,” she said about being named a Rhodes Scholar. “I’ve been so overwhelmed by love and support from friends, family, mentors, and professors.”

At Oxford, Amisha hopes to pursue two one-year master’s programs, one in nature, society, and environmental governance and another in English and American studies.

This year, eight Harvard students were chosen as recipients of Rhodes Scholarships, and will continue their studies at Oxford in the fall.
