Le Mans is one of the toughest races of the year to work. Of course it’s 24 hours and that comes with challenges but the week(s) leading up are loaded with on track filming and off track events like the driver parade and scruitineering in town. Also fun fact, scruitineering isn’t a real word in the English language. But anyway it’s a tough slog but it’s a special race. We bitch about working it A LOT due to all the bureaucracy and extra steps involved to shoot it but even with all of that, it’s a special race and it’s a privilege to get to shoot it. I don’t think there’s another race on earth that’s this easy to make look epic on film. This piece that I made for kamuikobayashi is my favourite thing I’ve ever made. I think it’s the best work I’ve ever done. The story of Le Mans told in 45 seconds. A huge thanks to brentkore for his help as second camera and his jokes all week in Le Mans. This will be tough to top but I plan on topping it.
