One of the greatest drivers of all time, Tazio Nuvolari, died On This Day 70 years ago. The son of a racing cyclist, the small but mighty Nuvolari's glittering career transcends two and four wheels, Grands Prix and sportscar racing - a 350cc European champion, European Grands Prix champion, Le Mans winner, a double Mille Miglia and Targa Florio champ, Vanderbilt Cup winner...the list goes on! 💛🐢

The epitaph on the Nuvolari family's tomb near his hometown of Mantua is both beautiful and fitting: "you will race even faster on the roads of heaven". 🥹🫡
