A new superlicence clause aimed at restricting driver movement and conduct led to a strike at the 1982 South African Grand Prix. After some fiery words and a sleepover in a conference room, drivers were coaxed back, and the race went ahead On This Day - and the offending clause was eventually removed. ✊
