Two months after he and Denny Hulme were robbed of the win at Le Mans in a contrived photo finish, the prickly but brilliant Ken Miles was killed testing Ford's J-car at Riverside, On This Day in 1966. The J-car - later named the GT40 Mk IV - went on to win Le Mans the following year.⁣
