50 years ago On This Day: drifting isn't the most efficient way around a corner, but it IS cooler. 😎 Emerson Fittipaldi eventually passed Austrian Grand Prix race leader Sir Jackie Stewart when the latter's Tyrrell began to struggle with handling - until Fittipaldi's Lotus too suffered handling problems, coming under huge pressure from McLaren's Denny Hulme. Post-race, Emmo declared: "I drove the last two laps like an old woman - followed by a nasty man!" 😱👹⁣
