## Caption

Morris Island Lighthouse on near Folly Beach. Was built in 1876 was originally about 1200 feet from the waters edge but when jetties were created for Charleston Harbor redirected the currents and rapidly eroded Morris Island until 1938 the Lighthouse was finally decommissioned. •
