Big congratulations to our senior PG/co-captain #5 Christina Antonakakis and our senior Center/co-captain #41 Kylie Gallagher on receiving these end of the year NEWMAC awards!! Christina was named the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year while also being named to the NEWMAC All-Conference First Team, while averaging 21.1 ppg this season. Christina is the third player in our MIT wbb program’s history to receive this achievement and the first player in our MIT wbb program’s history to receive both Rookie of the Year and Athlete of the Year awards. Kylie was named to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team, while averaging 12.1 ppg, 9 rpg and 1.2 blks per game this season. We are incredibly proud of these captains for being leaders on and off the court throughout their years. They embody what it means to be an MIT Women’s basketball player, and they will be extremely successful in their next endeavors with their continued dedication and leadership! #RollTech #BigShoesToFill
