NYC Marathon Race Recap, Part 13:

Ughhhhhhh
I’m running as hard as I can right now and feel like I’m getting nowhere. 

5th Ave is a real bitch let me tell ya. You can see for miles. Delirium starts to set in. 

💭 I am somehow facing forwards yet traveling backwards. How am I doing this? 

The vastness of space between you and the finish line is daunting. You feel imprisoned on the open road. Nowhere to turn to but the faces lining the street. 

💭 Help me. Someone tap in please! I don’t want to do this anymore.

I honestly think my coach and teammates can hear my thoughts of desperation. Any time I am full on struggling in a race or workout, they magically appear. 
What is this sorcery? (And I wonder if it works with pizza 🤔)

There they all are, right on cue. Cheering and jumping up and down. Their voices of support and encouragement giving me an insurmountable boost of energy.
I could feel my legs turning over faster, my mind feeling lighter.
