Two bits, four bits, 6 bits, a dollar... You've probably seen an honorary two-bits march out onto the field of football games and lead 90,000 fans through this time-honored cheer. But, do you know who said it first? 

George Edmondson Jr., better known as Mr. Two Bits is the iconic cheerleader of the Florida Gators. While attending football games Mr. Two Bits traveled the stadium, section by section, and encouraged fans to cheer for the students. Mr. Edmondson pioneered this unwavering support of the Gators and inspired thousands to rally behind the students and cheer for them. 50 years later his enthusiasm for students is still felt at the start of every football game and on UF Giving Day.

UF Giving Day is the one day a year we ask you to give back to the department or area that has impacted you the most during your time here at UF. 

So, in the spirit of Mr. Two Bits, we're calling on you to cheer on your fellow Gators tomorrow for Gator Nation Giving Day. This is your opportunity to make an impact on the lives of current and future students with disabilities.
