Canada women soccer team’s Spying Scandal in the Olympics has got everyone talking about it, including the USMNT’s Tyler Adams.

After being found guilty of spying on New Zealand’s training with drones, Canada women’s head coach and two assistants have been sent home and suspended for a year. Their team has been hit with a six-point deduction.

Sources then told Canadian media TSN that both Canada women and men team have been doing it for many years, including spying on trainings of the USWNT and USMNT.

Adams, who captained for the USMNT in the 2022 World Cup, says every team does it.

“Listen, every team does it. I know for a fact every team does it,” Adams said when asked by The Cooligans.

“I don’t know about drones and sh*t like that. That seems a little bit crazy. But there are always people when you are training at stadiums a day before games or whatever, someone will be acting like a worker but really they’re just working for a different federation.”

“It happens consistently. I am positive of that.”

When Honduras’ men team went to Canada to play the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, they stopped their training after spotting a drone and complained about it, but nothing escalated from it.

Canada’s soccer program has grown rapidly in recent years, with their men team qualifying to the World Cup again in 36 years while their women team won gold medal in 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

In a leaked email revealed by TSN today, Canada women team’s coach Bev Priestman told a Canada Soccer Human Resources consultant that there is a “whole operation on the men’s side” with regards to spying and “it can be a difference between winning and losing.” 😳
