July can be a tough month for athletes not competing at the Olympics. And as my neighbor so aptly pointed out when he saw me working on a project in my driveway… I am indeed not in Paris right now 😑🙄🫥

I think it’s important to recognize both my disappoint in how the summer has gone for me athletically while also being able to recognize all the fun and rewarding things that are also happening right now. Some of which include…

🏃🏼‍♀️ Working on my run form (a long overdue task) with thebalancedrunner 
🐶 Fostering a sweet puppy we are calling “Six” and watching her and myfavoritepie tussle about 3x per day
👸🏼 Going to the ESPYs with nikkihiltz and getting to feel like a princess for a day thanks to lululemon 
📸 Doing a few fun photoshoots with brand partners and friends
🏃🏼‍♀️ Getting to run with old friends like emily_pritt, ryanhillncstate and Billy no-IG-the-toad
🛹 Ring a skateboard for the first time
🏄🏻 Watching Kevin learn to surf
🎾 Saying yes to a game of paddle with itskevinconroy (I don’t like games I’m bad at so that’s big)

I still get a lump in my throat when I think about what I’m NOT doing this summer and how much I wish I was in Paris with my friends, but these moments are full of life and joy too.
