Joey Brackets might have had the Virginia Tech Hokies (23-12) on the outside looking in at the big dance, but last night they punched their ticket to the dance floor. The seventh-seeded Hokies dominated top-seeded Duke 82-67 to deny Mike Krzyzewski a league title in his final season.

* FIRST ACC tournament title and appearance for Virginia Tech. The Hokies joined the ACC in 2004.

* FOURTH ACC champion to win the title by beating the top-three seeds.
