I’ve been listening to a lot of Foo Fighters lately. Everyday to be honest. And their song ‘BEST OF YOU’ really resonated with me in a major way. It landed on me in a different tone, and in a different color, and I wanted to express that feeling for you. I hope you do not mind. A couple of years ago I collaborated with Madeline McDonald on a song called ‘Better in the Past’ which I felt my verses from that song, so perfectly aligned with how I was hearing this alternative storyline within ‘BEST OF YOU’. Therefore, I merged the two into a sort of mash up that more accurately paints the picture for me.
