Laura Dugan, '24
Major: Biomedical & Health Sciences Engineering
Minors: Clarinet Performance and Neuroscience 
Instrument: Clarinet
Other ensembles: Symphony, chamber orchestra, wind ensemble, pep band. Outside of NC State: Boston Crusaders

"It's an incredible opportunity and privilege to serve as a drum major for this program. I'm so proud of the way we represent our university and support our athletics, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to share that with. I've loved watching this group grow over my time here at NC State, and I'm so excited to get to be a part of continuing that as we take on the 2022 season!"

"Being selected by my fellow band members to serve as one of their drum majors next year is an honor. Getting to do it at the university that I've been a fan of all my life makes it that much more special. I'm really excited to give back to this band program in this unique way and I can't wait for August!"

Erica Finch, '23
Major: Zoology
Minors: Outdoor Leadership, Environmental Education, Global Public Health, and Microbiology

"Being a drum major means forming connections with every section of the band. Since the members are the reason I have the position I do, it is important to me that I know what they want from me in order to be able to help work with and advocate for them. Learning members' names makes a world of difference in building relationships in a program as large as ours, and it has always been something I tried hard to do. I couldn't do any of it alone either—I am excited to work with Laura for the second year, and to welcome Brian onto the team for the upcoming season!"
