Rob Diaz de Villegas, our ecology producer, is back at it again. Prescribed fire maintains biodiversity in the longleaf ecosystem but releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Could a forest that burns its carbon every few years possibly store more carbon than it emits? We visit The Jones Center at Ichauway in search of an answer.
