Happy #gophertortoiseday! We saw this red soil-covered tortoise (fresh from digging a burrow, maybe?) last week at the thejonesctr while shooting a segment on fire and carbon. During prescribed burns, tortoise burrows offer shelter to hundreds of species of animals.
