so often I get the question of “what beginner camera should i buy to learn composition and build up a portfolio” and i ALWAYS tell people that the best budget camera to buy, is the one you already have. Phones have come so far these days, that unless you need a camera for professional reasons, if you are just trying to build up a portfolio from going to shows or want to shoot a show, but aren’t approved, use your phone to shoot. So, with all that being said, I wanted to post some proof, I was hired as a photographer for back to back nights of The Chainsmokers: The Party Never Ends Tour at Red Rocks and wanted to share a few photos that I took with my phone, to prove that it’s really all you need.
