Long Post Incoming 👇

Anyone who grew up with me when I was young (so 10-15 years ago 😂) knew that aerosmith was an all-time favorite of mine. I wore a blue & white striped button up (unbuttoned, of course) because I saw Steven Tyler wear one and I thought it looked sick. I grew my hair out and googled “how to have hair like Joe Perry” and used mousse in my hair in middle school just to try to be as cool. 😎 

As I got older my music tastes became a bit more modern, but Aerosmith was still always in the rotation. So when they came to Bangor in ‘22 the inner kid in me went nuts. I remember seeing Joe Perry through my lens and the memories walking to baseball practice with the mp3 player, late night guitar practice (sorry Mom!), and jamming out with my cousin to “Sweet Emotion” came flooding back. I also remember stopping the photos for a brief moment to soak it all in and think “how lucky am I to get to be here in this moment?! These guys won’t be playing forever and this is genuinely a dream come true”. 

It was just announced that due to vocal cord injuries, Aerosmith will no longer be touring. What an incredible run they had! I hope they know how their music shaped my life, and kept me grounded to my roots throughout the ever changing landscape of rock music. Getting to photograph them combined my two passions of Aerosmith & photography, and I’m honored that they came up to our little slice of heaven to make that possible. 

Gonna blast “Love In An Elevator” on 100 on my way to the venue today just for them. Thanks, Aerosmith.🤘❤️
