Corie Meredith, ’17
VP of Marketing at UMortgage

Corie’s responsibilities include driving the marketing strategies that standout within the mortgage industry through an innovative brand that matches the progressive nature of the UMortgage platform. She oversees their Brand, Creative, and Product Marketing teams supporting client acquisition, conversion, and retention.

Corie found this job through being approached by a LinkedIn recruiter for a Social Media Coordinator position at The Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME). That non-profit was founded by her existing President & CEO, Anthony Casa. Once Anthony stepped down as President of AIME and started UMortgage, he asked her to join him in leading their Marketing team.

Favorite memory from La Salle?
“One of my favorite memories from my time at La Salle was partnering with a few of my fellow classmates to start LTV News. I always had a passion for news broadcasting and this opportunity allowed me to challenge my skills, thought process, and pushed me out of my comfort zone.”

Valuable lesson learned?
“Feedback is imperative for growth. It may be uncomfortable, at first, asking others how you can improve in a specific area or accepting critiques about your work. However, the truth is, we can all get better. If we do not seek feedback, or are not receptive to it, we are doing ourselves a disservice in our own growth as professionals and people.”

Advice for Students?
“Get involved! College is a time of trial and error. There is a ton of pressure to know your next move: what career you want to pursue, where you’ll live after graduation, and what connections could lead to opportunities. The more you try new and different things, the more you can determine what you don’t like. I learned far more about what I didn’t enjoy doing than what I do enjoy doing, and that’s powerful knowledge to have that sets you up on your path to success. But, you will not know unless you try.”
