Reckless by Lauren Roberts is a five-star read that totally blew me away! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down. The story of Paedyn and Kai, coming from two forbidden classes – the Ordinary and the Elite – is both intense and emotional. Their connection, which starts during the trials, is so strong and beautifully developed.

I had high expectations for Reckless, and it completely exceeded them. This book had me laughing out loud and giggling at times, but it also had moments that left my jaw on the floor. It was such a rollercoaster of emotions!

After Paedyn kills the King, Kai is made the enforcer with the mission to bring her back. His journey is filled with inner conflict and deep emotions, balancing his duty with his feelings for her. The twist where King Kitt demands Paedyn as his wife is a gut-wrenching shock that left me reeling.

Kai’s struggle to stay true to his mission while dealing with his love for Paedyn makes him such a compelling character. And Paedyn is a strong-willed force who stands out from the typical “damsel in distress” characters. There are moments where she feels a bit inconsistent, but her determination and courage are impressive.

The plot is packed with unexpected twists and turns, and that ending? One of the best plot twists I’ve ever read! It had me gasping and now I’m eagerly waiting for the next book. I devoured Reckless and I’m already counting down the days until April!

Overall, Reckless is a fantastic mix of romance, action, and suspense. Lauren Roberts has crafted an incredible story that I can’t recommend enough. If you love a gripping read with complex characters and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, Reckless is a must-read!
