Game. Seven.
The most exhilarating phrase in all of sports: A phrase that encompasses so much passion, triumph, excitement – yet so much heartbreak, agony, and failure all in one. It just so happens that the #NJDevils are in this scenario tonight, against their biggest rivals no less. Winner takes all. Loser hits the golf courses. In a season that brought us so much, one loss tonight could unfortunately leave it with a sour taste in our mouths. However, if we’re on the winning side, emotions will be felt that are unspeakable. That sweet victory feeling will radiate through the entire Garden State and beyond, sending Devils fans into pure elation. Schmido the Torpedo, Akira Schmid, has came up huge for us all season long and will be faced with one of the tallest tasks in modern sports…to remain calm, focused, and collective in this raucous atmosphere. If anybody can do it, it’s the stone cold warrior from Bern, Switzerland who boasted a .922 SV% in-season and a .937 SV% these playoffs, including two games on the road where our team was pushed to the brink. I’m ready to run through a brick wall. Rock the rock, Devils fans, and lets bring home a memory that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives. LET’S GO DEVILS. WOOO!!!!!!! 😈
