DEVILS WIN AND CLINCH HOME ICE ADVANTAGE!!!!!!!!
In a fun-filled evening, the #NJDevils broke many records and eliminated the Buffalo Sabres in the process. Jack Hughes broke the ALL-TIME Devils single-season pt. record, notching his 97th point with an empty netter. They also earned their 51st win, which ties the franchise record. Vitek Vanecek was phenomenal in the contest, stopping 36 of 38 (.947 SV%)! For a second straight game, the Devils outhit their opponent (19-14) which is a great sign come playoff time. Timo Meier led that charge with 4 hits. Luke Hughes also got a taste of the NHL for the first time, registering a hit, a takeaway, and a blocked shot in 11:15 of ice time. Nathan Bastian and Tomas Tatar had three point nights in a highly-offensive bout. What a night. WOO!! LGD!! The Devils will finish off their regular season on Thursday night, with a chance at first place still looming. 😈
