DEVILS WIN!!!!
The #NJDevils got their league-leading NINETEENTH comeback victory of the season, as they took down the Winnipeg Jets!! The sold-out crowd at the Prudential Center was absolutely rockin’ tonight. Overall, this was a complete team win. That’s two nights in a row now where they cleaned things up in all ends and played a strong sixty minutes. Huge props go to Mackenzie Blackwood for battling back and pitching a shutout after giving up two goals on his first four shots. Additionally, the Jack Hughes line was held without a point, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s so refreshing to see players that aren’t with Jack step up. As we know with Edmonton, come playoff time, one player can’t do it all. And lately, the Devils have been back to rolling all four lines (like December) and taking control of the play. Both of the tying and winning goals were thanks to hard, gritty forechecks that poked the puck free and created a chance. Doing the little things right leads to success, and that’s what happened tonight. Winnipeg is a powerhouse, and the Devils stifled them. Wow. What a long way they’ve come from their 27-46-9 record last season. This is fun. That’s six straight wins at home now. Let’s keep it rolling Tuesday night against Montreal. WOO!! LGD!! 😈
