DEVILS WIN!!!!!
Dougie Hamilton’s missile in OT sealed the deal as the #NJDevils clawed out their sixth victory in seven contests!! Vitek Vanecek single-handedly stole this game for the Devils. The Czech netminder stopped 25 of 26 (.961 SV%) including an abundance of high danger chances – Pittsburgh had ~74% of those in this game. That is the biggest difference from last season…going from league worst goaltending to above average has flipped the script entirely. They’ll need to clean up their game sooner than later, because they have been getting outplayed at a majority of times. But good teams find a way to claw out a victory, and that is exactly what the Devils have done over this stretch. They are now 13 points clear of FLA/NYI for a playoff spot, with two games in hand. That’s now two victories in a row at home, and they’ll look to make it three as the Golden Knights come into town on Tuesday night. WOO!! LGD!! 😈
