GAMEDAY!!!
The #NJDevils west coast trip is officially underway, as they’ve traveled to Anaheim to take on the struggling Ducks. The Devils will be hunting their third victory in a row, a feat they have not accomplished since 11/25 - 11/28. We are still awaiting word on Nathan Bastian’s return, and it will be interesting to see who comes out of the lineup when he’s ready. For as odd as it sounds, tonight is really close to a must-win. The Ducks are not a good team by any stretch, but also cannot be taken lightly. They have some serious young talent in the likes of Trevor Zegras, Mason McTavish, and Troy Terry - who can all strike and change an outcome at any moment. A victory tonight would put the Devils ten points clear of the Islanders, who are the closest team NOT in a playoff spot to the Devils. The Devils would also still have a game in hand. NJ would also be only two points back of Carolina AND would push past the Rangers for sole possession of second, all with a victory. In the NHL, no game is “easy”. The Devils quickly fell to a 2-0 deficit vs. ANA earlier this season, though they were thankfully able to come back. Make sure to grab your coffee because it’s gonna be a late one!! We’ll find further info on lines, goaltenders, etc. as we near puck drop, so stay tuned!! LGD!! 😈
