The #NJDevils are back at the Rock as they look to tie their franchise record 13-game winning streak!!

However, tonight is a little bigger than hockey. It’s Hockey Fights Cancer Night, as we are still (sadly) in pursuit of a cure to this day. As you see in the sign Nico is holding, Brian LeBoeuf, the owner of @sportsmindedunlimited, passed away due to cancer in the summer of 2021. Brian brought many Devils players in his store for autograph sessions and gave many fans (including myself) the ability to meet their favorite players. During every single interaction he had with fans at Sports Minded, he was extremely pleasant, insightful, and courteous. You could see why many players on the Devils were willing to keep coming back into his store. While he is unfortunately no longer with us, his legacy lives on forever. The impact his signings and welcoming arms into his store had on me and countless others will never be forgotten. The store is still carried on by the LeBoeuf family, who continue to host signings with New Jersey Devils’ players. Yesterday, our captain Nico Hischier was at the store to interact with fans and sign autographs/take pictures with them. Nico, being the leader and class act he is, made sure to stay extra time to truly connect on a personal level with each and every fan attending. A large portion of the revenue from the signing was donated directly to Hockey Fights Cancer. Please continue to carry on Brian’s legacy by following @sportsmindedunlimited…their autograph signings are A++. You won’t regret it. Beyond that, as Brian would, make sure you greet everyone with a smile and treat them with respect. Life is too short to worry about things that, in retrospect, are meaningless. So yes, there’s a hockey game being played tonight…a fairly big one in front of a likely sold out crowd. But win or lose (hopefully win!!), we will continue to come together and fight for a cure. #BiggerThanHockey💜
