DEVILS WIN!!!
The #NJDevils have won four games in a row for the first time in over four years!!! The Western Canadian road trip has kicked off with a huge two points, as they took a 5-2 victory in Vancouver. The Devils did what they’ve been doing night in and night out: outshoot their opponent. This time, they outshot the Canucks 37-23. They’ve continued to do the little things right and they’re reaping the rewards. They were 58% from the faceoff circle, clicked on their only powerplay, and scored a shorthanded goal. All around, they’re playing excellent hockey and it’s beautiful to watch. Mackenzie Blackwood did exactly what we needed, stopping 21 of 23 (.913 SV%) including a few big stops when the game was still close. There were multiple moments where the Devils could have let the game slip away, but they’ve showed their maturity, buckled down, and stepped up their game when needed. They’ll head to Edmonton on Thursday night as they look to make it five in a row for the first time since December of 2017. Facing the two best players in the world in McDavid and Draisaitl is not easy, but we know they’re certainly capable. LGD!! 😈
