Molly and I went “Dashing for DASH” in the 45th Chicago Marathon on Sunday. Now, thanks to some incredible contributions that journey continues with our first Dashing for DASH Online Auction!

Why we went Dashing?! 
- As former college athletes, we believe in the transformational power of sport. In the words of DASH's Gold Medal Advisory Board member Chad Hedrick, it’s more than speedskating, "to not only help them excel as athletes, but also to be able to develop good humans, good men and women." 

It wasn't easy but the training program and race day experience highlighted so many of the lessons DASH works daily to pass on to the next generation. 
Lessons like:
- the power of consistency
- you need a plan but you also need to be able to pivot & adapt
- overcoming setbacks
- growth through adversity
- and sacrificing for a goal that is greater than yourself.

Running was our way of leading by example, being all-in on The DASH Project and investing in the next generation who will lead our communities long after we are gone.
