I am really excited to be “Dashing for DASH” in the 2023 Chicago Marathon with a partner this year. My partner in crime, Molly Atkinson! 

We are just 12 short weeks away from race day! 

What is DASH raising money for? 

1) To Grow Speedskating - Our Director of Youth Development, Leah Lambert, is entering her first season with us! In 3 events she got more than 129 kids to try speedskating for the first time and 23 kids are participating in our summer in-line program. 

2) Preserve & Build Upon Wisconsin’s Iconic Speedskating Heritage - Wisconsin hosted the first Speedskating Olympic Trials in 1928 just down the road on Lake Oconomowoc. Since then the sport has become the winningest US Winter Olympic Sport in history with 91 medals. If you don’t know, a fair number of them trace their roots (life &/or training) back Wisconsin and surrounding states.

3) Develop Champions In Their Lives & On The Ice! Sports can be a powerful, positive tool to teach kids and young adults invaluable life lessons & transferable skills. Helping them be prepared to drive the communities we live in and love today, forward tomorrow.

Last year, with the help of so many incredible people, we raised $25,000. This year, we want to see if we can hit $40,000!
