PART 2 of my series on carb cycling!
In part 1 you learned what carb cycling is: a technique which includes switching between low-carb days and regular-carb days to get the benefits of eating low-carb, but in a less restrictive manner.

Some of these benefits include: improving your blood sugar regulation, reducing the insulin response in your body, and ultimately burning fat!

When taking this approach in carb cycling, count NET carbs, not total carbs.
NET CARBS = total carbs - fiber - sugar alcohols

Remember not all carbs are bad, so you want to ensure fiber isn’t counting towards your net carbs and get fiber into your diet every single day!

Here are some important numbers to focus on when you carb cycle:

Low Carb Days: 50g NET carbs
Regular Carb Days: 150-200g carbs

You’ll see the most benefits when you pair your low-carb days back-to-back because you need at least one day to deplete your carbohydrate stores so by the second day your body has an easier time tapping into your fat stores.

Make sure to stay tuned for PART 3 where I will teach you how to structure your weeks around carb cycling!

If you don’t want to wait for part 3… comment “CARBS” and check your DMs!
