POV: You always wanted to be a wizard, so you became a forensics officer and use a machine dubbed, ‘The magic wand’ 🧙 

Traditionally forensic scientists would only be trained in one discipline, however, at the Ballarat Forensic Hub, staff are trained in multi-disciplinary evidence recovery, including the ESDA machine. While most our work happens behind closed doors, our staff play a key role in examining all types of exhibits, such as cars, weapons, drugs, sexual assault kits and clothing.
