#SISTERSPOTLIGHT💫 As recruitment approaches, it’s fair to wonder why you should #gogreek - that’s why we’re introducing one of our lovely members, maddyortman !! 

Maddy (MC’21) is from Denver, CO and is earning her degree in Psychology with a minor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology💚 As a rising senior and student athlete, Maddy has had a diverse college experience. However, through Greek life she’s been able to find lifelong friends and be part of an incredible community🫂⚓️

“I wanted to go Greek to create forever friendships and be a part of a sisterhood that encapsulates growth, love, and support for one another! Being a track athlete at Pepperdine, I wanted to get to know people outside of athletics, including those in Greek life! When signing up for recruitment, I was beyond excited to find sisters who would be there for me no matter what!

During recruitment, I felt so welcomed and encouraged by all the girls I met! I went through the recruitment process my freshman year, being a busy athlete from out of state. While I was nervous in the beginning, the chapters quickly eased all my nerves and gave me a space to be my authentic self! I had so much fun getting to know all the bright, motivated, and kind women throughout the Greek community!

💌For PNMs who are going through recruitment, whether you are an athlete, from another state, or a freshman new to the school, I encourage you to be true to yourself and put trust in the entire process! You will have the opportunity to bond with girls you might have never met without going through recruitment, so cherish every moment! Be your unique and beautiful self and you will end up exactly where you are meant to be!”
