Here is Grace Ann’s recruitment story 🤍

Growing up, I heard all about recruitment and Greek Life at large schools but when it came to Samford recruitment, I was clueless. I had no idea what delayed recruitment was or what values based recuritment meant. Once I signed up for rush, I was immediately given two Rho Gammas who loved and served me every step of the way explaining every little term that pertained to recruitment. Before I stepped onto campus my freshman year, I already felt at peace about recruitment due to my Rho Gammas and how open Samford Panhellenic was about the recruitment process.

Going into recruitment, I was a little nervous but once I started going into the different houses, I had so much fun. I loved having the opportunity to meet girls from all over and have great connections with them. In recruitment, I had the best life-giving conversations that led me so filled up and had other conversations that left me in tears because I was laughing so hard. I loved how intentional each house was by getting to know me and my heart. I felt seen, known, and loved by the girls i talked to. I loved that I felt like I could true goofy, spunky self throughout recruitment. Samford’s Panhellenic Recruitment process is such a gift because its top priority is to serve the PNMs. It cares for the hearts of the PNMs as it guides them to where they will thrive the most within the Panhellenic community.  

Bid day my freshman year had to be one of the top ten days of my life. It was so fun running home with two of my best friends to my bid day buddy who then turned into my big. The day was full of lots of joy, laughter, and dancing. 

Even if Greek Life might not be someone’s thing, I would highly recommend anyone to just go through recruitment to experience a glimps of its beautiful community. I can confidently say that the Samford Panhellenic Community has been one of the biggest blessings to my Samford career.
