We sat down for an exclusive interview with Chancellor Randy Woodson after he announced his 2025 retirement. 

The University’s longest-serving chancellor discussed his post-retirement plans and helped detail the process of a search for a new chancellor. 

Edwin Stack, chair of the NC State Chancellor Search Committee, said the first step in finding the University’s fifteenth chancellor is hiring a search firm. From there, the search committee will take steps to reach out to University staff, faculty and students for input.
