Last Memorial Day, like they do every Memorial Day, a lot of my friends complete a CrossFit tribute to LT. Michael Murphy which is widely refered to as the Murph. I’ve always wanted to participate but my body hasn’t been well enough to even think of taking on such a task for half a lifetime. My time of 49:35 is mediocre (miles were both over 11 minutes which killed my time (I still have a long way to go with my lower extremities) but the fact I was able to physically complete the 2 miles of running. 100 pull ups, 200 push ups and 300 squats with a 20+ lb weight vest was a huge win. I started feeling a lot better after taking 2 months home for PT earlier this year after my knee replacement. During that time I got stem cells in my knees and hip right here in the states with thestemcelldoc . Took some advice from cowboycerrone to get blood work from transcendhrt to speed up the healing process with peptides.. and then got the final push from my mechanic jfrally who made a bet that he would turn a faster time by ojibweforestsrally (on a plane to that event now) Fogg sent in his time last week which meant I couldn’t show up today without completing the task..sharing all this because I know there are a lot of old racers and military and construction and other people who live their lives to the fullest that could probably benefit from what I’ve learned.
