Did you know? 🌳 The oldest tree on campus is a sycamore that was already mature when the University opened in 1868!⁣

For over 150 years, this tree has charmed generations of Illini. Its most famous feature? A huge, drooping limb—like a witch’s finger—pointing students toward the Main Library. That limb is so heavy it needs steel cables to stay up! So next time you’re near the Library, don’t forget to look up! 🧡💙⁣
