## Caption

I’m so excited to bring you my new song, “Waiting for a Difference,” a song about longing for change, watching time go by, and trusting your gut, even though all evidence points to the contrary.

I wrote the bedroom demo version of this  back in 2016, recorded a studio version nativesoundrecordings in 2019, and then re-recorded it from the ground up in 2024 in a barn in Woodstock with producer kevinjsalem. We changed the key and the tempo but I loved the guitar solo so much from the St Louis sessions (executed by summer_magic_official ), that we were able to pitch-shift it and keep it in this newer, slightly faster version. codyrahn is on drums and Kevin Salem plays guitar, bass and keys.

When I first began writing this song, I was feeling kind of hopeless and crossing my fingers that things would work out between myself and now-husband, musician Matt Pond. Now, hearing the final version, and watching the video by jessedufault it feels like this song and story have finally come full circle.
