Step back in time with a sip of history! 🍸✨ Our 15th Century Ottoman Empire Cocktail called the “SHARBAT” or “SHERBET” combines exotic flavors and a touch of history. We made ours the old fashion way but here’s how you can make yours at home.

Ingredients:

- 4-5 cloves
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- Peel of 1 lemon
- Peel of 1 apple
- Peel of 1 orange
- 2 cups water
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz vodka (optional for a boozy version)
- Sparkling water (to top off)
- Ice cubes

**Garnish:**
- Lemon and orange twist
- Fresh mint sprig (optional)

**Instructions:**

1. **Make the Turkish Sherbet Base:**
 - In a medium saucepan, combine the cloves, sugar, honey, lemon peel, apple peel, and orange peel.
 - Add 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse.
 - Remove from heat, let it cool, then strain the liquid to remove the peels and cloves.

2. **Build the Cocktail:**
 - Fill a glass with ice.
 - Add 2 oz of the Turkish Sherbet base, 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 2 oz of vodka if you’re making the boozy version.
 - Shake well until chilled.

3. **Serve:**
 - Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
 - Top with sparkling water for a fizzy finish.
 - Garnish with a lemon and orange twist, and a fresh mint sprig for an extra touch.

Raise your glass to a cocktail inspired by the grandeur of the Ottoman Empire! Cheers!🍷🇹🇷
