This year marked the fifth annual ride out of And Still We Ride: a Black and Latinx-led organization started by marzyjane to make cycling more fashionable and accessible to the community. Inspired by Maya Angelou’s famous poem, “And Still I Rise, “ this group is all about celebrating Black and Brown women and has participants dedicate their ride to an influential Black woman in their life before hitting the road.

Our very own janae_larie brought us along for the scenic journey—a 10-mile route from Manhattan to Brooklyn that was crafted in collaboration with blackgotham and finished with food, music, dancing, and community.
